On May 16, 2024, a team led by Techno Gabay Program Focal Person and Information Officer II, John Lord Auman, alongside Technical Staff Kissciel Rubi and FITS Center Manager Ronald Pacol from the South Cotabato Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, conducted a validation for potential Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosks. The validation focused on several coconut-based Learning Sites in South Cotabato, including Makarios Farm and Food Processing in Surallah, Pales Farm in Tampakan, and J3ed Dignadice Farm in Polomolok.

These Learning Sites were assessed as part of the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), which aims to provide farmers with accessible information on agriculture and fisheries, enhance knowledge, and facilitate the sharing of best practices through the FITS Kiosks. The initiative is expected to empower local farmers by improving access to essential agricultural resources and information.
