Sto. Niño, South Cotabato – A 5-day Training on Certified Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) Groups Towards Accreditation as Certifying Bodies is taking place at Casica Diversified Farm in Barangay M. Roxas, Sto Nino, South Cotabato.
The training is attended by five core group members and organic farmers from the Peoples Action for Liberative Agriculture Industry Inc. (PALAI) group, who have already received the Participatory Organic Certificate (POC) from the Bureau of Animal and Fisheries Standards (BAFS).
The training aimed to enhance the Manual of Operations, improve internal standards, and develop skills in peer review and certification protocols. Mr. Joffrey F. Frinal of the National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) expressed support for the program during its launch.
This initiative advances the organic farming landscape, empowering local farmers and boosting consumer confidence in organic products.
