In a collaborative effort to enhance community outreach and service delivery, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan conducted a Joint Operations Harmonization and Networking for Barangay Promotion spearheaded by the DA-RFO XII in Brgy. Tasiman, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato on March 27, 2024.
The day began with a tree planting activity, the ATI-RTC XII under the leadership of OIC-Center Director, Shirley L. Beldia, alongside other participating agencies, planted several fruit trees. This initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement.
The serbisyo caravan commenced at the barangay gymnasium of brgy. Tasiman, with a warm welcome message from the barangay chairman. During messages of support, Board Member Miguel Matinong announced a forthcoming cold storage facility project in Lake Sebu, mirroring the successful Baguio City Market Facility, to benefit cooperatives involved in vegetable production.
John B. Pascual, the OIC-Regional Executive Director of DA RFO XII, emphasized that the objective of the activity is to uphold Region 12's commitment to excellence and strive towards becoming one of the top-performing regions in the nation.
Each participating agency then presented their respective programs and directives. ATI-RTC XII, represented by Director Beldia, highlighted the Institute's commitment to capacitating stakeholders in the agriculture sector to improve production and enhance livelihood opportunities.
Overall, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan exemplifies the power of collaborative efforts in promoting community development and fostering sustainable growth in Lake Sebu and beyond.
