In support of the Gender and Development (GAD) Program, the Agricultural Training Institute Region XII is conducted a 3-day vegetable processing training focusing on Squash (Kalabasa) noodles and cracker making for GAD beneficiaries in BARMM. The program aims to empower women through valuable skills on October 25-27, 2023.

The opening program was graced by OIC Assistant Center Director Ms. Shirley L. Beldia, who encouraged the 20 women participants to embrace the knowledge they would gain during the training. These women from different associations in Maguindanao actively engaged in learning how to process squash noodles and crackers.

Ms. Imelda S. Jumalon, an LSA Cooperator of Jumalon Farm / J.I Skills Training & Assessment Center Inc. served as the Resource Person for the training, promising to enhance the capabilities of these GAD beneficiaries and contribute to their economic empowerment.
