A three-day training program on food processing, packaging, financial management, and entrepreneurship took place from April 24-26, 2024, at the Municipal Women's Center in Poblacion, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat. This event aimed to equip participants with essential skills for economic empowerment and community development.
The training began with an opening address by Dormitory Manager II, Mr. Jim C. Raborar, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of Gender and Development. He emphasized how skill development and education could empower women in the community.
Resource speaker Ms. Abigail May C. Garcia, PFT, provided an in-depth introduction to food processing, covering critical areas such as food packaging and labeling. Her session included practical demonstrations, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience. Additionally, Ms. Ma. Aiko L. Buliag-Tula shared her expertise in financial management, market linkage, and entrepreneurship, providing participants with strategies to effectively manage finances, establish market connections, and explore business opportunities.
The training concluded on April 26, 2024, with a ceremony where participants were awarded certificates for their dedication and successful completion of the program. The training was efficiently facilitated by Ms. Flora A. Omalde, Training Specialist I, and Engr. Jemari Cen Dacaya, Technical Staff, ensuring that the sessions were informative and beneficial for all attendees.
