30 Agricultural Extension Workers have successfully completed the Training on System of Rice Intensification (SRI), Heirloom and Upland Rice Production Technologies for the Rice AEWs in Region XII. The training took place at ATI-RTC XII, San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato, from April 22–26, 2024.

During the closing program, Ms. Shirley L. Beldia, the OIC-Center Director, delivered a closing speech acknowledging the participants' dedication and highlighting the importance of their newfound knowledge. She expressed confidence that the trainees would effectively apply their learnings to enhance rice productivity in their respective areas.

Engr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, Agriculturist II, extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active engagement throughout the 5-day training. Representatives from various LGUs, including Mr. Arnel A. Yusay from Omag LGU-Libungan, Ms. Rosario V. Ibesate from Omag LGU-Midsayap, and Ms. Marigene L. Catequista from LGU-Tboli, expressed sincere appreciation for the training conducted by ATI-RTC XII and commended the excellent accommodations provided.

The closing program concluded successfully with the awarding of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the participants. The training was facilitated by Engr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, Agriculturist II, and supported by Ms. Jane G. Diacoma, Technical Staff.

This completion marks a significant achievement for the participants, equipping them with advanced skills and knowledge essential for enhancing rice production and supporting agricultural development in Region XII.
