The Training on Developing Effective FITS Manager: Basic FITS Center Operations, IEC Development, and Social Media Management for new FITS Managers and Staff in Region XII and BARMM (Batch 2) successfully concluded at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

During the training, Ms. Marnil B. Del Monte, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-RTC XII, emphasized the critical role of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) strategies in agriculture. She guided participants in understanding target audience preferences and principles for developing effective IEC materials. Practical exercises and workshops engaged the 27 FITS Managers and Staff, fostering active participation in IEC material development.

Mr. Justin Garcia Aquino, Information Officer II of DA-RFO XII, shared expertise in social media management for agricultural communication. He provided insights into creating and managing corporate social media accounts and strategies for content development to effectively engage stakeholders.

Organized by the ATI-RTC XII Information Services Section, the three-day training, which concluded on April 26, 2024, aimed to enhance participants' digital literacy. It equipped them with tools to utilize social media platforms effectively, improving access to agricultural information for farmers and stakeholders in Region XII and BARMM.
