TANTANGAN, South Cotabato – The third day of the Training on Halal Compliant Agriculture Production, held on May 15, 2025, marked a shift from theoretical instruction to experiential learning as participants embarked on an expository tour at the Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) - Lutayan Campus.
The participants, hosted by ATI-RTC XII at its training facility in Brgy. San Felipe, were given an immersive opportunity to observe Halal livestock production in action. At SKSU-Lutayan, they explored the campus’s Halal-compliant livestock production areas and slaughterhouse, where they were introduced to the principles of ethical animal husbandry, Halal slaughter protocols, and post-slaughter handling techniques.
This hands-on experience served to deepen their comprehension of the operational standards required for Halal certification, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application. The tour not only highlighted best practices in maintaining Halal integrity across the production chain but also emphasized the importance of compliance in ensuring trust and market access in the growing Halal sector.
