The Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII), in collaboration with the Philippine Coconut Authority Region XII (PCA Region XII) and several municipalities, recently convened the first Technical Working Group (TWG) and Pre-Broadcast Meeting for "Masaganang Coco-Buhayan: Radyo Eskwela sa Pagniniyugan" (SOA on Coconut Production) for Region XII, specifically in Sultan Kudarat. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive education and support to coconut farmers in the region.

Ms. Emily Lorion, Regional Manager of PCA Region XII, warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership between ATI XII, PCA Region XII, and the participating municipalities. She emphasized the importance of collaboration in enhancing agricultural practices and improving the livelihoods of coconut farmers.

The meeting agenda included discussions on the topics to be covered in the upcoming 16 episodes of the program. These episodes will address various aspects of coconut production, including best practices, pest and disease management, and market opportunities, to equip farmers with valuable knowledge and skills.

The municipalities actively involved in the SOA initiative are Columbio, Lebak, President Quirino, Bagumbayan, Esperanza, and Isulan. Their participation underscores the collective commitment to supporting coconut farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture in the region.
