Tantangan, South Cotabato – The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) successfully hosted the 4-H Regional Youth Camp for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from May 25 to 27, 2025, bringing together 50 dynamic youth leaders and agricultural advocates in a vibrant celebration of leadership, innovation, and resilience in agriculture.
With the theme “HARVEST through the 4-H milestones: Harnessing Agricultural Resilience through Vision, Education, Sustainability, and Technology,” the camp served as a convergence point for active 4-H members, the Federation of Volunteer Leaders of the Philippines (VLAP), International Internship Program (IIP) alumni, and local coordinators. Over three days, participants engaged in various activities designed to highlight youth contributions and amplify their role in shaping sustainable agri-communities.
The program featured pitching competitions, video production, and songwriting contests—all aligned with the theme of agri-resilience and youth innovation. These creative platforms empowered participants to share fresh ideas and solutions to the challenges facing the agricultural sector, while promoting digital fluency and environmental awareness.
Recognizing the youth’s efforts, the 4-H Regional Excellent Achievers Awards (REAA) honored exceptional individuals and groups for their outstanding impact on agriculture and community development. The Most Outstanding 4-H Member and Coordinator Awards also spotlighted exemplary dedication and service within the movement.
Unity and civic spirit were fostered through ceremonial moments such as the 4-H Saludo, flag-raising, and a citizenship ceremony, reinforcing values of patriotism and commitment to nation-building through agriculture. IIP alumni also took the stage to share their journeys, encouraging attendees to pursue international opportunities and embrace agri-leadership.
The camp culminated with the election and induction of new regional 4-H officers, officiated by ATI-RTC XII OIC-Center Director Dr. Jessie V. Beldia. In his address, Dr. Beldia underscored the critical role of inclusive and passionate leadership in transforming agriculture into a vibrant field for the next generation.
Through this regional camp, 4-H youth leaders from BARMM reaffirmed their commitment to agricultural sustainability and innovation—embodying the spirit of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health for a more resilient and empowered future.
