To enhance agricultural extension services and empower farmer-leaders in Region XII, a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Native Chicken Production and Management was successfully conducted from March 18-22, 2024.
The program, held at the ATI-Satellite Training Center, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato, hosted 25 participants comprising Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and Farmer-Leaders (FLs).
The primary objective of this training was to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to serve as resource persons in the domain of Native Chicken Production and Management.
Through intensive theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on activities, the participants gained valuable insights into various aspects of native chicken rearing, including breeding, feeding, housing, and health management.
This training was made possible through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund.
The facilitation of the program was handled by the CFIDP technical staff, Ms. Eljean B. Villasista and Aurish Kizia S. Calawen, along with administrative staff, Ms. Kristelle Ann L. Flotibles.
