Tantangan, South Cotabato – The Regional Consultation with the Region XII League of Municipal Agriculture Officers and Municipal and City Agriculturists of the Philippines (LeMMCAP) officially on February 27, 2025, bringing together key stakeholders in the agricultural sector to evaluate achievements, address challenges, and enhance collaboration.
The program opened with a support message from ATI-RTC XII OIC-Center Director, Dr. Jessie V. Beldia, followed by a welcome address from OIC-ISS Chief, Mr. John Lord L. Auman. Development Management Officer I, Mr. Jayson Abang, then provided an overview of the consultation’s objectives, setting the stage for in-depth discussions.
Engr. Teofilo Jumawan, Jr., Planning Officer II, presented the 2025 ATI targets and strategic plans, outlining key initiatives for agricultural training and extension. Additionally, Engr. Alvin U. Palma, Project Evaluation Officer I, introduced Unexsys, an AEWs (Agricultural Extension Workers) database, emphasizing its significance in streamlining data management and program implementation.
The consultation served as a platform for ATI-RTC XII focal persons and partner agencies to identify essential training programs aligned with the needs of local government units. Discussions focused on developing targeted training initiatives that would enhance the skills and capabilities of agricultural officers and extension workers in Region XII.
By assessing past accomplishments, identifying gaps, and refining strategies, this collaborative effort seeks to empower local agricultural officers and extension managers, ultimately contributing to the sustainable growth and development of the agriculture sector in the region.
