In a recent hands-on training session for participants of the Season-Long Training of Trainers (TOT) on Corn, attendees delved into sustainable farming techniques for sloped terrains. The session, held at Barangay Saravia I, Koronadal City, focused on Sustainable Corn Production in Sloping Areas (SCOPSA).

A key activity during the training involved the creation of an A-frame, a simple but effective tool used to identify contour lines. This technique ensures proper land management by aligning planting rows with the natural contours of the land, helping to prevent soil erosion. By using the A-frame, participants learned how to better manage sloped areas for long-term soil health and sustainable corn production. This hands-on approach provided valuable insights into environmental stewardship, empowering the farmers with the knowledge to adopt sustainable practices in their farming operations.
