Sitio Manggis, Magsaggaw, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi, marked a milestone in agricultural education with the official launch of 4R's Farm as a certified Coconut-Based Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP). The certification was formalized in a ceremony on November 25, 2024, attended by local and regional agricultural leaders.
Key dignitaries graced the event, including RM Datumanong Pendi, PCA-BARMM Regional Manager, and Ms. Nur Aina Ingkagan, PCA Tawi-Tawi Division Chief I, both of whom highlighted the farm’s role in empowering coconut farmers through innovation and education. The Philippine Navy was represented by 2nd Lt. Col. Aprilyn Banwa, showcasing multi-sectoral support for the initiative.
Representing ATI-RTC XII OIC-Center Director Jessie V. Beldia, OIC-Assistant Center Director Ms. Hannadi S. Guiamad-Pompong underscored the importance of value-adding activities and inter-agency collaboration in driving agricultural growth. She encouraged local farmers to utilize the training and facilities provided under the CFIDP for maximum benefit. The ATI delegation also included Senior Agriculturist and LSA Focal Person Ms. Shirley L. Beldia and other technical and administrative staff, reflecting the institute’s strong commitment to agricultural advancement in Tawi-Tawi.
4R's Farm owner Mr. Julhajan Asaron expressed his gratitude for the support from ATI-RTC XII and its partners. In his acceptance speech, he committed to transforming the farm into a center for innovation and knowledge-sharing, aimed at uplifting local coconut farmers and advancing the coconut industry in Panglima Sugala.
