Malapatan, Sarangani Province – In line with advancing sustainable and environmentally responsible agri-livestock projects, key stakeholders convened on May 16, 2025, at the Municipal Mayor’s Office of Malapatan to finalize the relocation of the 30-Sow Swine Multiplier Farm (SMF) under the INSPIRE Program. This initiative aims to bolster swine production while ensuring operational efficiency and environmental protection.

The meeting focused on identifying a more strategic and suitable site to enhance project implementation and safeguard surrounding ecosystems. After thorough deliberation, Purok San Miguel, Lun Padido, Malapatan, was selected as the new location, offering optimal conditions for the farm's success.

Officials present included Hon. Salway D. Sumbo Jr., Municipal Mayor of Malapatan; Dr. Amor Elevazo, Provincial Veterinarian of Sarangani; Engr. Mirasol Saludes, Municipal Agriculturist; and representatives from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO). Members of the Pananggalon Fishers and Farmers Association (PFFA), the designated project beneficiary, also attended with ongoing support from the Municipal Agriculturist’s Office.

Representing the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) were Engr. Andrei Lou F. Egalin, Engineer I, and Mr. Errol Chris A. Laspiñas, Agriculturist I and Livestock Focal Person, who played a pivotal role in the site evaluation and relocation planning. This collaborative effort underscores ATI-RTC XII’s commitment to fostering sustainable livestock development and community empowerment in Sarangani Province.
