In celebration of the 50th Nutrition Month, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) hosted a spirited Cook-Off Challenge featuring the versatile and nutritious oyster mushroom as the star ingredient. This friendly competition highlighted the importance of nutritious food options in line with this year's Nutrition Month theme, “Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.”
The competition saw four teams compete, each bringing creativity to the table with innovative mushroom dishes. After an impressive culinary showdown, Group 3 emerged victorious with their winning dish, Mushroom Kakiage Tempura, delighting judges with its flavor and texture. ATI-RTC XII congratulates Group 3 and commends all teams for their outstanding efforts and creativity in promoting nutritious cooking.
Each year, the National Nutrition Council (NNC) and government offices across the country commemorate Nutrition Month to foster public awareness about the significance of balanced diets. This year’s theme reinforces the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) goals, aiming for inclusive, accessible nutrition for all Filipinos.
