ATI-RTC XII conducted the Orientation and Pre-Deployment Activity in Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) Batch 3 today, March 31, 2025, at ATI XII, San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato.
The event began with a warm welcome from PAS OIC-Chief, Mr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, who expressed his gratitude to the youth interns and farm partners in attendance, followed by a message of support from OIC-Center Director, Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D., emphasizing the importance of the program in shaping the future of agriculture.
The orientation featured a formal introduction of the selected youth interns and farm partners from different provinces in Region XII. Moreover, Mr. Johnny H. Pasaquian, Organic Agriculture focal person, provided a detailed review of the YIPOA program’s rationale, objectives, and expected outcomes, ensuring all participants were aligned with the program's goals.
The YIPOA Batch 3 orientation emphasized the importance of developing and training young individuals to become future organic farmers and practitioners. The program aims to foster the growth of sustainable agricultural practices and empower youth to engage in organic farming.
