TUPI, South Cotabato – The third and final day of the Training on Cacao-Coffee Nursery Establishment and Management (Batch 5) on May 7, 2025, marked a meaningful conclusion to the three-day learning journey organized by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII).

Held at the DA-Tupi Research and Outreach Station, the morning session was dedicated to hands-on demonstrations on coffee and cacao grafting techniques, skillfully facilitated by Mrs. Joie Krisze D. Recinto, Agriculturist II of DA-Tupi ROS XII. Participants gained firsthand experience in essential nursery practices, reinforcing the technical knowledge imparted in the previous sessions. This practical exposure is expected to strengthen their capability in establishing and managing successful cacao and coffee nurseries in their respective communities.

In the afternoon, a graduation ceremony was held to recognize the dedication and efforts of the participants. Each trainee received a certificate of completion, a testament to their commitment to learning and to supporting the development of high-value crops in Region XII.

The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing a renewed enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of the cacao and coffee industries. With their newly acquired skills and knowledge, they are now better equipped to boost local production and elevate the quality of nursery practices in the region.
