In a lively celebration of the 10th Organic Agriculture Month, BS Agriculture students from various universities across Region XII and BARMM showcased their knowledge at the Regional Kabataang OA Quiz Bee Competition. The event, held on October 31, 2024, at the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) in Brgy. San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato, aligned with this year’s theme, “Kabuhayang O.A. Kinabukasang O.K., PGS Pinalakas para sa Bagong Pilipinas.” It also served as a preparatory event for the upcoming Kabataang OA National Quiz Bee Competition.

After an intense and knowledge-packed competition, the top winners were announced:

Champion: Mindanao State University - General Santos City (B)
2nd Place: South Cotabato State College (B)
3rd Place: University of Southern Mindanao (B)
4th Place: Mindanao State University - General Santos City (A)
5th Place: Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (A)
As the regional champion, Mindanao State University - General Santos City (B) will proudly represent Region XII at the 3rd National Kabataang OA Quiz Bee in Quezon City on November 14, 2024.

This competition highlights the importance of organic agriculture among youth and reaffirms the commitment to sustainable practices, aiming to inspire a new generation of advocates for organic farming in the Philippines.
