The ATI-RTC XII conducted a comprehensive training program for corn coordinators in Region XII from April 7 to April 11, 2025, at the ATI Compound, Brgy. San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of local agricultural leaders in creating effective development plans, fostering sustainable agricultural practices, and promoting regional growth.

Dr. Jessie V. Beldia, ATI-RTC XII OIC Center Director, delivered a welcome message. In his opening remarks, Dr. Beldia emphasized the importance of collaborative planning, innovative approaches, and community engagement in driving agricultural development.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shamin B. Camlian of the DA-RFO XII delivered a comprehensive discussion covering several key areas essential to agricultural and organizational development. He began with an overview of organizational features and benefits, highlighting how structured systems and clear organizational frameworks can enhance productivity and sustainability. He then elaborated on the requirements for clustering, emphasizing the importance of collective action among farmers or stakeholders and how the proper formulation of Cluster Development Plans can drive more efficient and impactful results. Finally, he presented insights on the creation of Farm Development Plans, focusing on strategies for improving farm operations, increasing yield, and ensuring long-term viability.

On the other hand, Mrs. Melissa Marie G. Bautista led a meaningful discussion on Values Re-Orientation and self-awareness. She emphasized the importance of reconnecting with core personal and organizational values as a foundation for ethical decision-making and responsible leadership. The session aimed to inspire personal growth, strengthen integrity, and cultivate a values-driven mindset that supports both individual and collective development.

The participants also visited the Topland Farmers’ Cooperative in Barangay Topland, City of Koronadal.  This hands-on session allowed for direct interaction with experts and facilitated the exchange of best practices among the participants, ensuring that they were better equipped to implement strategic plans in their localities.

In addition, the participants took part in an activity centered on the structural design of a cluster. By designing the structural layout, participants gained a clearer understanding of how to establish an efficient and well-coordinated cluster that promotes accountability, collaboration, and streamlined operations. The activity also encouraged them to consider the specific needs and dynamics of their own communities in shaping a structure that supports sustainable development.
