ALABEL, Sarangani – The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII), in collaboration with the Organic Producer of Alabel Multipurpose Cooperative (OPAMCO) and the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian in Sarangani, continues to oversee the progress of the 30-sow-level climate-controlled Swine Multiplier Farm (SMF) under the INSPIRE Program.
Through consistent monitoring, review of Detailed Engineering Designs (DED), and regular discussions with key stakeholders, the project has reached 40% completion, as confirmed during the March 6, 2025, site visit. Based on the Program of Works (POWs) and the Detailed Utilization of Program Activities (DUPA), the farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of April 2025.
The monitoring and inspection team included: Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Amor R. Elevazo, ATI-12 TWG Infrastructure Representative Mr. Jon Ian D. Belo and ATI-12 Livestock Focal Person Mr. Errol Chris A. Laspiñas.
The Swine Multiplier Farm is designed to enhance hog production in the region by producing healthy, high-quality weaners/piglets to meet the growing demand for livestock. The climate-controlled facility ensures a sustainable and efficient production system, supporting local hog raisers in improving their livelihood.
With continuous monitoring and collaboration, the project remains on track, reinforcing ATI-RTC XII’s commitment to livestock development and agricultural innovation in Region XII.
