Diliman, Quezon City – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), through its Policy and Planning Division, is spearheading the Training on Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for New ATI Internal Quality Auditors to strengthen the Institute’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure continued compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
In his training overview, Project Officer Mr. Bernard James Tandang highlighted that while ATI has trained numerous internal quality auditors since the institutionalization of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, personnel movements and role changes have necessitated the training of a new batch of auditors. This initiative aims to maintain continuity and effectiveness in ATI’s QMS implementation.
ATI Director IV Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III, welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of their role in upholding ATI’s commitment to quality. “ATI has been ISO-certified since 2014, undergoing four certification cycles, and we intend to maintain this. Your role is crucial as the Regional Training Centers (RTCs) are also being audited under the QMS,” she stated. She also reassured the participants that while this responsibility is an additional task, it is already embedded in ATI’s operational system.
A total of 27 participants from ATI Regional Training Centers in CAR, Regions 1, IV-A, V, VIII, and SOCCSKSARGEN, as well as ATI Central Office, are attending the training.
Representing ATI-SOCCSKSARGEN are OIC-Assistant Center Director Hannadi Guiamad-Pompong, OIC-Chief of ISS John Lord L. Auman, and Network Controller Roman Castor.
At the end of the course, they are expected to develop a deeper understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and effectively conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with ATI’s QMS.
Through this initiative, ATI continues to enhance its institutional processes as it strives to become the country’s premier training institute in agriculture.
