Tantangan, South Cotabato- The five-day Training on Basic Accounting for Non-Accountants commenced today, March 17, 2025, bringing together key officers from Department of Agriculture (D.A.)-accredited rice clusters. This initiative aims to enhance financial management skills, ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of rice cluster organizations.

Headed by OIC-Chief Engr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, the training runs from March 17-21, 2025. The first session was facilitated by Rosemarie Nono, who introduced participants to fundamental accounting principles, proper bookkeeping methods, and financial statement preparation. These skills will help organizations maintain accurate records, track financial transactions, and produce reliable financial reports for informed decision-making.

The training highlights the crucial role of sound financial practices in strengthening small and medium-scale farming groups, which significantly contribute to national rice production.
