Alabel, Sarangani - The second batch of AgriTalk through Serbisyo on Wheels took place on March 19, 2025, at the RIC Training Center, Old OMAg Building, Municipal Complex, Población, Alabel, Sarangani Province.
The event commenced with an opening message from Engr. Agnes L. Du, OIC-Provincial Agriculturist of Sarangani, who expressed her gratitude to the farmers for their participation. She also acknowledged the presence of students from Alabel Central Integrated SPED Center, who joined the AgriKids session with ten participants.


Following this, Roy Mart Palawan, High Value Crops Coordinator of OMAg-Alabel, delivered a message of support, emphasizing the importance of empowering coconut farmers through initiatives like AgriTalk. He highlighted how the Skills Lab on Coconut Vinegar Production could help boost the local coconut industry and livelihood opportunities in the community.


Adding to the support for the program, Mr. Abner H. Labaniego, MPA, represented the Municipal Mayor to convey the local government’s commitment to assisting farmers and promoting agricultural development in Alabel.


The training session began with a discussion on the e-Extension Program, presented by Engr. Inocencio Morales, FITS Manager of OPAg-Sarangani. He provided insights into digital agricultural learning and technology-based support systems for farmers.


This was followed by a session on Coconut Vinegar Production, led by Ms. Gensa Chivit Navales, Agriculturist II of the Philippine Coconut Authority - SarGen. She guided the participants through the step-by-step process of producing coconut vinegar, highlighting its benefits and potential as an additional source of income for coconut farmers.
