On March 20, 2025, ATI-RTC XII hosted the Regional Halal Coordinators and Practitioners Meeting. The event brought together key stakeholders from across Region XII to discuss the current state of the Regional Halal Program and chart a course for its future growth.


ATI-RTC XII OIC-Center Director Dr. Jessie V. Beldia warmly welcomed the delegates, expressing gratitude for their participation and commitment to the Halal program. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in advancing the Halal industry in the region.


Engr. Mokles P. Buisan, National Halal Focal Person of DA-ATI, followed Dr. Beldia's opening remarks with a message of support, emphasizing the crucial role of regional collaboration in strengthening the National Halal Program. He highlighted the importance of the meeting in fostering a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the Halal industry.


On the other hand, Mr. Sahod S. Aguil, Planning Officer from DA-RFO XII, also expressed his support for the meeting, emphasizing the need for a coordinated approach to address the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities within the Halal industry in Region XII. He highlighted the importance of the meeting in providing a platform for knowledge sharing and strategic planning.


Atty. Guialil Kanda, Chairman of the Regional Halal Council XII, also delivered a message of support, emphasizing the importance of the meeting in bringing together stakeholders from across the region to work collaboratively toward a thriving Halal industry. He highlighted the council's commitment to supporting the growth of the Halal sector in Region XII.


Ms. Hannadi G. Pompong, OIC Assistant Center Director and Halal Focal Person of ATI-RTC XII, presented the program's past accomplishments, outlined its goals for 2025, and facilitated the knowledge-sharing activities.
The meeting provided a framework for developing strategies and action plans to advance the Halal industry in the region and ensure its sustainable growth. The event also underscored the commitment of ATI-RTC XII and other stakeholders to promoting the Halal program and driving its success in Region XII.


The activity was attended by the Regional and Provincial Halal Council representatives.
