The five-day training on Sustainable Rice Production: Training on Organic Agriculture Technology for Rice officially began on March 24, 2025. This event brought together rice farmers and agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from Region XII from March 24 to 28, 2025, at the ATI RTC-XII, located in Barangay San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato.
During the opening program, OIC-Center Director Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D. warmly welcomed the attendees, delivering an insightful message that highlighted the crucial role of advanced agricultural technology in transforming organic rice farming practices.
In addition, Engr. Alvin U. Palma provided an in-depth discussion on the Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture, shedding light on how changing environmental conditions affect rice production and the necessary adaptive strategies.
The primary objective of the training is to enhance participants' knowledge and practical skills in Organic Rice Production, with a strong focus on sustainable farming techniques.
