The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist-South Cotabato Farmer's Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center received a significant boost under the ATI-RTC XII RCEF Program. Hon. Henry Ladot, Chairman on Agriculture and Food, showed support for the FITS Center's enhancement. Led by Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an, the center aims to empower farmers with cutting-edge resources, making agri-fishery technologies more accessible. Expressing gratitude, Provincial Agriculturist Raul D. Teves, DVM, highlighted the center's crucial role in bridging the gap between farmers and innovative practices.
The upgraded FITS Center is set to provide a wide range of services to the farming community. FITS Center Manager Agriculturist Ronald D. Pacol, along with Information Service Specialist Ms. Marichelle Miole and Technology Service Specialist Elias Diamante, are enthusiastic about the prospect of serving as a valuable resource hub for farmers. By equipping them with the latest agricultural information, technologies, and expertise, the FITS Center aims to enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability in the agricultural sector of South Cotabato.
With the support of the ATI-RTC XII RCEF Program, the FITS Center will play a vital role in promoting inclusive and technology-driven agriculture. Farmers will have access to training programs, demonstrations, and consultations to improve their skills and knowledge. Moreover, the FITS Center will facilitate the dissemination of up-to-date information on best practices, market trends, and government programs. By empowering farmers with these resources, South Cotabato's agricultural sector is poised for growth and resilience, contributing to the overall development of the province and the well-being of its farming communities.
