The Livestock Program FY 2024 Consultative Planning-Workshop and Animal Health Coordination Meeting, held on February 28, 2024, at the Session Hall of DA ATI-RTC XII, saw a successful turnout of key stakeholders from various sectors. Attended by heads of office and staff from ATI-RTC XII, DA-RFO 12 (Livestock Program and Regulatory division), NMIS-RTOC 12, PPC@USM, and provincial veterinarian offices, alongside OCVets from several cities, the event also welcomed beneficiaries of the INSPIRE Project and members of COLIPA Coop. Discussions revolved around the Livestock Program's achievements in FY 2023, plans for FY 2024, updates on sector directives and policies, and the finalization of work plans for upcoming years. Noteworthy sessions led by the DA-RFO 12 Livestock Program & Regulatory division focused on animal health updates, particularly biosecurity measures for swine, poultry, and ruminants, and discussions on the BBO incentive scheme. Future plans include disseminating information through various channels, with IEC materials and radio plugs set to be reproduced for broader outreach. The event served as a platform for collaboration and strategic planning, strengthening efforts toward advancing the livestock sector in Region XII and BARMM.
