Twenty-seven FITS Center/Kiosk Managers and Staff from Region XII and BARMM have successfully completed the 3-day "Upscaling FITS: Training on Management of FITS Monitoring Tool and Digital Farmers Program 103 for Rice" (Batch 2) held at ATI-RTC XII, San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato. The training focused on enhancing participants' knowledge and skills in utilizing digital tools and technology for rice farming.

The session featured Mr. Marwin G. Animo, Marketing Officer at Grains and Innovation Solution (GRAINSCO), who introduced participants to agricultural drones and their benefits, particularly for rice farming. His presentation highlighted the advantages of integrating drone technology into agricultural practices, including improved efficiency and accuracy in monitoring crops.

Additionally, the DA Regional Office XII Rice Program provided a practical demonstration of agricultural drones, allowing participants to witness firsthand the impact and potential of this technology in enhancing rice production. This hands-on experience was pivotal in showcasing the benefits of modern agricultural innovations.

During the closing program, Ms. Hannadi Guiamad-Pompong, Chief of the Information Services Section, commended the participants for their dedication and emphasized the importance of applying their newfound knowledge. Participants, including Ms. April Joy Sumido from LGU-Tulunan, Ms. Zelrose Padernal from LGU-Malongon, and Ms. Pamela Clara Dador from LGU-Esperanza, shared their positive experiences and expressed their gratitude. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to recognize the participants' efforts and achievements. The training was facilitated by Mr. John Lord L. Auman and Ms. Jovellena B. Simbulan.
