Kabacan, Cotabato- ATI-RTC XII successfully conducted training on Halal Feeds Formulation and Free-Range Chicken Production from June 26-28, 2024, at ATI-Satellite Training Center, USM Compound, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Mr. Merzaq A. Ulama, RCEF Admin Staff, welcomed 30 Region XII and BARMM participants. Engr. Mokles P. Buisan, Training Specialist II, representing OIC-Center Director Shirley L. Beldia, warmly greeted everyone and explained the training’s goals under the Halal Program. Mr. Hadjigapor M. Ahmad discussed the basics and five pillars of Islam and highlighted its diverse cultural traditions.
On the second day, Mr. Saban B. Belongan, Section Chief of Livestock and Poultry Production at MAFAR Maguindanao, shared valuable insights on poultry production. He covered topics from housing to feed formulations and nutrient requirements. He emphasized the profit potential of native chicken farming and demonstrated mixing raw materials for feed.
The three-day training aimed to capacitate the participants by providing them with appropriate knowledge, skills, and orientation on essential aspects of Halal Feed Formulation and Poultry Production.
