Kabacan, Cotabato Province - The second batch of the “Training on Milking, Milk Processing, and Dairy Safety Regulation” started last July 31, 2024, at the Agricultural Training Institute-Satellite Training Center XII, located at the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, Cotabato Province. Technical Staff, Ms. Eljean B. Villasista, welcomed and acknowledged the participants from across different municipalities and cities in Region 12. She opened the event and warmly welcomed the participants.
Normuhaymin B. Arsad, a Technical Staff under the CFIDP, presented an overview of the training program and provided insights from the CFIDP Situationer, illustrating its significance to dairy farming.
Ms. Raffa-Ella Rule Onggo, a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer II from LGU-Balindong Livestock and Production Center, led the discussion on Basic Dairy Safety Regulations. Her presentation covered important topics, such as the standards and guidelines for safe milking practices and necessary steps in milk processing to ensure product safety and quality.
The training session provided important insights into maintaining high standards in dairy production, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety regulations. The participants are expected to gain practical knowledge and techniques that they can apply in their respective communities. The training will continue in the following days, offering more in-depth discussions and hands-on experiences.
