CARAGA REGION – Through Republic Act 11524, signed by former President Rodrigo Duterte in 2021, the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) was created. This plan seeks to increase the productivity and income of coconut farmers, address issues on poverty, education, social equity, and rehabilitation and modernization of the coconut industry toward farm productivity.

The Regional Coco Day celebration and CFIDP Grand Launching kicked off at the Poblacion Gymnasium, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on August 24, 2022.

The Fiscal Year 2022 Mid-Year Performance Review and Planning Workshop of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) kicked off on July 27, 2022 at Kawa Resort, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte. The host RTC, represented by OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC 13 Fil Victor Babanto, gave his Welcome Address. Dr. Rosana P. Mula,ATI Director IV, joined the activity virtually. OIC Deputy Director Antonietta Arceo delivered her message and the latest ATI initiatives and directives on behalf of Dr. Mula. Day 1 activity ended at 9:00 PM due to the many issues that needed to be addressed. The review and workshop which is attended by Center Directors and Officer-in-Charge of the RTCs, Division Heads of ATI-CO, and the Secretariat, will conclude on July 29, 2022.
