𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼-𝗧𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗦𝗔 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝘇𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗮

The Pedro- Tuguinay Integrated Farm located at Catarawan, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya was launched last May 5, 2023. Hon. Mayor Romeo Tayaban, Asst. Center Director Claris M. Alaska, NVES Manager Arsenio Apostol, Jr., Provincial Agriculturist Absalon Baysa, Municipal Agriculturist of Kasibu Juliet Columbus, Brgy. Captain Robert Dumagueng, barangay officials and some members of the community attended the program.

In his message, Brgy Captain Dumagueng thanked ATI for certifying the farm of Mr. Pedro as LSA. He mentioned that it will help convince farmers in their area to convert their practice from old and outdated practices to modern and technology-based practices to help them increase their produce.

Mayor Tayaban also expressed his gratitude to all the agencies who expressed support to the LSA. He mentioned the importance of the LSA to the farmers in the area. He also encouraged the farmers to be more resilient, always be grateful and ask blessings from the Lord.

Meanwhile, Provincial Agriculturist Baysa said that technology is updated based on the results of researches which shall encourage farmers to also be be updated. He mentioned that LSA is a great help in disseminating such updates. He also encouraged the community to have involvement to the project of government.

Dr. Alaska expressed her gratitude to the barangay and municipality of Kasibu for embracing the LSA and PLGU and for endorsing the farm to become a LSA.

“They (LSA) will be the model in the area in terms of agricultural technologies and the LSA should share their knowledge and skills to their co-farmers,” she shared. Dr. Alaska congratulated the cooperator for passing the requirements to become certified LSA.

After unveiling the LSA signage and awarding the certificate, LSA Cooperator Pedro gave his message of acceptance. He said that becoming a LSA is a plan of the Lord to fulfill their desire to help farmers in the area. He accepted the responsibilities and asked for the support and prayers. The LSA focuses integrated farming and Citrus trees.

Likewise, MAO Columbus said that LSA will be their partner in extension services. She gave thanks to ATI, OPA, NVES and Mayor Tayaban for the support. She congratulated and thanked the LSA for embracing their roles and responsibilities.
