To complement the Training on Smart Agriculture Technologies piloted in Cauayan City, Isabela, trained rice farmers received bags of fertilizer and drone service during the Digital Farmers Program: Farm Connect (version 2.0) on August 10-11, 2023.
The 15 recipients joined the 2-day event to witness the swift application of granular fertilizers in their rice fields.

ATI-RTC 02 partnered with Newhope Corporation which is reputable in the field of drone technology. Drone pilots and ground crews showed the power of drones to the participants and bystanders in the area. The drone finished the fertilizer application in over 20 hectares of rice fields within 15 minutes per hectare.
“Nadagdagan ang knowledge ko about drone for applying the fertilizer,” said Roger R. Agtarap, one of the beneficiaries of the program.

This Farm Connect aims to create a bridge, not only between farmers and drone service providers, but also farmers and Agriculture 4.0. Through this initiative, farmers’ place in the digital world is secured.
