The Training of Trainers on Digital Agriculture Course under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund trained another batch of 20 Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperators and facilitators. The training was conducted at Ocampo Hall, ATI-RTC 02, Malasin, San Mateo, Isabela on February 14-17, 2023.

The TOT on Digital Agriculture Course is a short course under the RCEF-Rice Extension Services Program which aims to capacitate and prepare LSA-farm schools to implement a digital literacy training for farmers in their respective areas.

The participants learned topics on the parts and uses of smartphones, accessing the internet, and surfing the web using various widely used applications and agriculture-based applications. They were also trained to maximize their potential in using basic and advanced social media marketing tools, and e-commerce.

“Sa training, malaking impluwensiya ito sa kanila (farmers) kasi hindi napapansin ang mga produkto nila. So ngayon, [malalaman] na nila ngayon ang [online world]. May knowledge na sila sa kung ano ang pwede nilang gawin," said Kevin Robert G. Oliveros, participant from R and D Farm School, Roxas, Isabela.

During the training, they were required to conduct a 10-minute micro-teaching to give them a chance to hear feedback and tips from the panel. On the other hand, a recording of participants delivering all the modules of DAC shall be submitted to formally finish the training.
