San Mateo, Isabela - Twenty-two Agricultural extension workers (AEWs) and farmer-leaders coming from various Local Government Units of region 2 successfully finished the Training of Trainers on Site Specific Nutrient Management (SSNM) for Corn Production at ATI RTC2, San Mateo, Isabela on March 22-24, 2023.
Generally, the training aims to capacitate the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) on the SSNM for Maize Production and the use of Nutrient Expert® for Maize.
In line with this, Senator for Agriculture Cynthia Villar also expressed her support by delivering a virtual message for the three-day training.
The ATI, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 02 and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist of Isabela, Cagayan, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya conducted this training to update the knowledge and skills of the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW’s) under Corn Program on Nutrient Expert ® for Maize. Having this technical knowledge and skills will enable more efficient and effective agricultural services delivery to the grassroots.
