In a significant stride towards sustainable agriculture, 33 dedicated seed growers from Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Isabela provinces recently completed a comprehensive training course from February 7-9, 2024. This initiative, organized by the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02), Bureau of Plant Industry-National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS), Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02 (DA-RFO 02), and PhilRice Isabela, is poised to elevate the standards of rice farming in the Philippines through the production of high quality inbred rice seeds.

The training program focused on elevating seed quality standards and equipping seed growers with the necessary skills to overcome challenges in the industry.
