In celebration of the annual High Value Crops Week this April, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center II (ATI-RTC 02) distributed starter inputs to various schools across the region on April 10–11, 2025.

As part of its continuous advocacy for food security, ATI-RTC 02 provided assorted vegetable seeds and garden tools to schools actively participating in the Gulayan sa Paaralan program. Among the recipients were Luna-Suerte Elementary School in Luna, Quirino, Isabela; Tuao Vocational and Technical School in Naruangan, Tuao, Cagayan; and Bukig National Agricultural and Technical School in Bukig, Aparri, Cagayan.

This initiative aims to strengthen school-based gardening activities, enhance students’ awareness and appreciation for agriculture, and contribute to the availability of fresh, nutritious food in school communities. By equipping these schools with necessary inputs, ATI-RTC 02 empowers educators and students like to cultivate sustainable gardens that serve both educational and nutritional purposes.

The distribution not only supports DepEd's Gulayan sa Paaralan Program but also aligns with ATI’s mission of promoting high-value crop production and sustainable farming practices at the grassroots level.

With this year's celebration of High Value Crops Week, ATI-RTC 02 reinforces its commitment to fostering a new generation of agri-champions, starting right at the school gardens.
