The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist-Tarlac, successfully launched the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in Moncada, Tarlac, March 29.
Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, ATI-CL Center Director; Hon. Thelma Flor A. Espejo, Municipal Councilor; Dr. Max P. Guillermo, TAU President; Ms. Alicia A. Cruz, OIC-Provincial Agriculturist of Tarlac; Mr. Eduardo D. Balgos Jr, Municipal Agriculturist; and farmers from the municipality were present during the event.
The group was oriented with the overview of TGP modalities and the establishment of the FITS Center. Moreover, the turnover of equipment and signing of MOA also took place during the said activity, and two Magsasaka-Siyentista were also recognized during the program.
Closing the program with gratitude, the provincial and municipal government highlighted that the establishment was dedicated to the farmers, and assured their full support for the maintenance and development of the center. (Mitzi Trix Fernandez)
