Central Luzon farmers delved into operation and maintenance of rice machines through Training on the Operations and Maintenance of Solar Powered Fertigation System (SPFS) on June 6-8, 2023 in St. Isidore “The Farmer” Resort Inc., Sta. Ana, Pampanga.
The training aimed to discuss the solar powered fertigation system and its respective components. In addition, its goal is to articulate the technical, financial and organization of operation and maintenance (O&M) for SPFS projects as well conduct SPFS O&M plan of the projects. Further, the activity aimed to identify the basic O&M components of the project and their functions and explain the proper O&M of SPFS project with regards to the inspection, performance verification and troubleshooting.
One of the participants from Bataan, Manuel L. Acson, urged his fellow participants to share the wisdom that they have acquired from the training.
A total of 20 farmer-participants attended the said training activity.
