To promote the growth and sustainability of the coconut industry, the Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority, held an information caravan on CFIDP in Cabangan, Zambales today, March 21.
The said caravan also aimed to educate farmers on the latest coconut industry developments and provide them with tools and resources to improve their farming practices.
The participating agencies were the Department of Trade and Industry, Cooperative Development Authority, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Philippine Mechanization for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, Land Bank of the Philippines, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist-Zambales, and Municipal Agriculture Office of Cabangan. Representatives from these agencies discussed how can they assist the farmers, which included training and financial assistance to support the coconut industry.
Moreover, the said event ended with the closing remarks from ATI-RTC III Information Officer III, Mr. Aeron P. Bermudez.
Same with the previous caravans, a total of 50 farmers from the municipality attended the event.
