The beneficiaries of INSPIRE Program participated in the training on Swine Production and Husbandry Practices on April 19-21, 2023 in St. Isidore " The FARMer" Learning Inc., Sta. Ana, Pampanga.
The training’s goal is the discuss the status of the swine industry particularly in the region. It also tackled discussions on the different pig production systems, and feeds and feeding for slaughter pigs. It also delved on the different swine breeds and breeding system. Further, the training shed light on the different management and husbandry practices for the welfare of animals.
“The knowledge became fun and fun became knowledge. The presentation was unique and not boring. The cooperation with the trainers was perfect. The trainers were well organized and their learning methods were very good. Overall, the program met my expectations. So, I’m really grateful to be part of this training,” said one of the participants, Mr. Severino Santos.
Dr. Franklin Barnachea of President Ramon Magsaysay State University served as the resource speaker of the activity.
