Tagbilaran City, February 28, 2025 – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in Central Visayas hosted an e-learning briefing at the ATI-7 Training Complex in Cabawan District, Tagbilaran City, on February 28, 2025. The session aimed to guide students in navigating the online platform and successfully enrolling in various courses offered by the institute.

Led by Technical Support Staff, Ms. May Joy P. Luzon, the briefing provided attendees with crucial information on how to access the courses and maximize their learning experience. The online platform is designed to make training and extension more accessible to students, especially in remote areas, allowing them to take part in specialized training programs without the need for physical presence.

One of the standout courses highlighted during the event was the Urban Gardening course. Developed by ATI Central Visayas, this course focuses on promoting sustainable urban farming practices.
With the growing interest in sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly practices, the course has attracted numerous students eager to explore how they can grow their own food in urban environments.

Another key offering introduced was the Ubi Production Course, also developed by the center. This course teaches students about the cultivation and production of ubi, an important crop in the region. Students will gain practical knowledge on how to effectively grow, harvest, and handle post harvest, which can contribute to local food security and economic development.

The briefing was well-received by the students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn about the diverse range of courses available to them. ATI continues to play a pivotal role in providing innovative, sustainable, and hands-on agricultural education to individuals, empowering them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the local economy.
