Manila, January 29, 2025 – The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Visayas (ATI-Central Visayas), led by Center Director Dr. Gracia F. Arado, proudly joined the nation in celebrating the 38th founding anniversary of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) at the Philippine International Convention Center. This significant event, held on January 29, 2025, centered on the theme "Youth in Agriculture: Cultivating Innovations through Partnerships", reflecting ATI’s ongoing commitment to empowering the younger generation and advancing the agricultural sector through collaborative efforts.

The anniversary celebration kicked off with the unveiling of a mural, entitled “Ridge to Reef: Chronicles of Technological Development in Agriculture and Fisheries.” The mural was presented by ATI Director Remelyn R. Recoter and Assistant Director Antonieta J. Arceo, and it visually narrates the agricultural sector’s transformation from traditional practices to modern advancements.

The mural also emphasizes the vital contributions of youth and women, showcasing their roles in shaping a more sustainable and progressive future for agriculture and fisheries. The striking artwork, created by Ilonggo artist Vic Ibuyan Nabor, an 1981 Agriculture graduate, beautifully encapsulates the journey of innovation and the collaboration between different sectors of society that have been pivotal to the growth and modernization of the agricultural industry.

This anniversary celebration serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of youth engagement in agriculture, with ATI continuing to promote partnerships that cultivate innovative solutions, sustainable practices, and inclusive growth in the sector. Through initiatives like these, ATI aims to inspire and support young people in becoming future leaders and active contributors to the nation's agricultural development.

The event marked another milestone in ATI’s ongoing efforts to bridge generations and encourage collaboration, ensuring that the next wave of agricultural leaders is well-equipped to address the challenges of tomorrow.
