In its seventh week, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) – Central Visayas (ATI-7) held a reflective session focused on the value of Repentance: The Courage to Turn Back as part of its ongoing Values Restoration Program. The session was spearheaded by the Admin and Finance Unit (AFU) and aimed to foster introspection and growth among ATI-7 personnel.
This week’s reflection was unique in its depth, with participants sharing their personal experiences and journeys of repentance. These heartfelt stories came from ATI-7 employees, along with an on-the-job (OJT) trainee from Bohol Island State University. The sharers expressed their challenges, moments of self-realization, and the power of change that comes with genuine repentance.
The sharers included:
Quennie Lou B. Vistal, Administrative Assistant IV/HR Designate
Rhea Kristene Q. Bongcac, Development Management Officer II
Jade Genevie B. Carlon, Administrative Officer II/Budget Officer Designate
Irene L. Blasco, Administrative Officer IV
Zandrina L. Prima, Administrative Officer I
Jorge F. Trinidad, Technical Specialist II
Ma. Gracia S. Pungay, Technical Specialist III

Admin Personnel: Reza Premacio, Teorevic P. Leornas, Anton dela Torre, Priscila B. Jaque, Riza Claire Sebandal, Limuel Patrick B. Borbano
ATI-7 Center Director Dr. Gracia F. Arado
The participants emphasized that repentance is not just about acknowledging one’s mistakes but also about a willingness to change. Several shared that true repentance is rooted in humility, where personal accountability plays a crucial role in growth. It is not enough to seek forgiveness; one must actively apply the lessons learned to oneself to make genuine transformation possible.
Among the key takeaways from this reflection session were the importance of personal change and acceptance. Participants were reminded that the path of repentance requires the courage to look inward, admit faults, and make conscious decisions to turn back and improve.
The ATI-7 reflection series, which began several weeks ago, has served as a valuable opportunity for personal development and spiritual growth. With each passing week, ATI-7 personnel continue to embrace and reflect on values that shape their character, promote unity, and foster professional integrity within the institution.
The program’s success has resonated deeply among staff, reinforcing the essential role that personal values play in both individual and collective success.
