Former Agriculture Secretary William Dar has directed the Department of Agriculture (DA) regional executive directors (REDs) to make Bohol a model for the agency's Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Systems (PAFES), one of the major strategies under the "OneDA" reform agenda to transform Philippine agriculture.

The PAFES is one of the 18 key strategies under the "OneDA Reform Agenda," anchored on four major pillars: consolidation, modernization, industrialization, and professionalization.

Thus, the Agricultural Training Institute-Central Visayas (ATI-CV) spearheaded the Organization and Management Set-up of the Provincial-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Center (PAFEC) on August 11, 2022, at JJs Seafood Village, K of C Drive, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The activity aimed to organize and set up the PAFES along with partner stakeholders. In addition, identify and finalize the composition of the PLGU-PMC, PAFEC and PLGU-TWG, and secretariat to manage the implementation of the PAFES; and draft and finalize Executive Order (EO) for the establishment of PAFES.
