DAUIS, BOHOL. The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Visayas (ATI-CV) spearheaded the conduct of the 4-H Regional Youth Camp 2022 which reached 50 participants from across the region including young farmers and 4-H/RBO focal person on August 31- September 02, 2022, held at Hinagdanan Bayview Resort, Bingag Dauis, Bohol.

The three-day activity aimed to abreast all 4-H members with current and relevant information most especially on opportunities for Agri and fishery development and sustain their interest through team building activities.

"In the words of John C Maxwell, 'A leader knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way,' Leaders are the people that make the difference between success and failure. A leader is someone who has a futuristic vision and can turn her ideas into success stories. After three days of learning and all the memorable experiences, we all shared. One takeaway that I will carry wherever I go. I commend everyone for igniting the spark of volunteerism, and love for agriculture. On behalf of the City of Gentle People, my heartfelt gratitude to all the facilitators of this year's 4-H Summit. And I have learned that Leadership is a responsibility. Leadership is constant. And leadership is exhausting. So, learn to rest. Learn to pause. Learn to unplug. You are not a superhero; you cannot carry the whole world on your shoulders. And you do not need to get everything done right now. Leadership does not require you to be perfect. It just needs you to be real and human. And to rest when you need to," expressed Ms. Angel Mae Llorente, 4-H Club member from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Mr. William M. Aranilla, President of Youth Lead Philippines, discussed Intergenerational Leadership with the participants during the first day of the camp.

In addition to being challenged to learn about their roles in agricultural development through the lectures and breakout sessions, the young individuals also displayed their skills and talents during several competitions.

There, they had a 4-H debate discussing issues that run with the youth and agriculture today. They also conducted a contest on Innovative Technology in Organic Fertilizer Production where the youth demonstrated the formulation of different organic fertilizers. A Video Making contest was also conducted before the camp promoting 4-H and its impact on the youth in various areas in the region.
