EASY AGRI BATCH 3

 

The EAsY Agri Program is a college scholarship grant in support of the children of smallholder farmers and fishers who are inclined to agriculture, providing them equal opportunities to pursue a Degree Program in the field of agriculture and other related courses.

The program aims to contribute to the improvement of competitiveness of Philippine agriculture towards achieving food security and alleviation of the socio-economic status of families in the AF sector.

Degrees covered
The scholarship shall cover Bachelor’s Degree courses in agriculture and fisheries, environmental science, forestry and natural resources and all other agriculture-related courses including Agricultural Biosystems Engineering (ABE) and Veterinary Science.

Target Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of the program shall be the capable and deserving youth who are children of smallholder farmers and fishers who are registered or have applied for registration in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), with an annual gross income of not more than Php 120,000.00.

Criteria of Eligibility
1. A Filipino citizen;
2. Not more than 30 years old at the time of application to the scholarship;
3. A son or daughter of a farmer/fisherfolk, whose parents are registered or have applied for registration in the RSBSA, with an annual gross income of not more than Php 120,000;
4. A graduate of Senior High School who is willing to pursue a college degree in agriculture, fisheries or any agri-related course;
5. An incoming first-year college student, who passed the entrance/ qualifying examination of his/her preferred school;
6. Physically and mentally fit (An individual, including the differently-abled, who is capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of a scholar as stipulated in the Guidelines)
7. Must not be a delinquent scholar of a previous scholarship;
8. Must have no pending case
9. Must not be related by consanguinity or affinity within the 2nd degree to any ATI employee (i.e. parent, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild, spouse, parent-in-law, daughter/ son-in-law)

Documentary Requirement
a. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) copy of the birth certificate;
b. Certification from the Municipal Agriculture Office that the applicant is a bonafide son/daughter of a small-scale farmer/fisherfolk with an RSBSA registration number or a Certification of filing for registration;
c. Latest BIR-Income Tax Return (ITR) of the parent/guardian or Tax Exemption Certification issued by the BIR or a Certificate of Indigency issued by the Barangay Captain;
d. Certified true copy of Senior High School Report Card (Form 138);
e. Certified true copy of High School diploma to be submitted within one academic year from the acceptance in the scholarship.
f. Registration Form or any proof of admission in a local University/ College;
g. Certification of
       i) good health from a government physician with X-ray and negative drug test results, and
      ii) mental fitness issued by the Guidance Counselor of the scholar’s chosen University or from a government/private           institution
h. Both must be taken within the last two months and be submitted only if the applicant qualifies for the shortlist.
i. Notarized Affidavit of non-delinquency in any previous scholarship signed by the applicant (Annex 1)
j. Certification of good moral character from High School or the Barangay, or a Police Clearance
k. Notarized Affidavit of No Relation with any ATI Employee signed by the applicant (Annex 1)
l. Accomplished Scholarship Application Form with a 2” x 2” picture

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS ON JUNE 15, 2023

Before submission, please make sure the documents submitted are complete to be considered for initial screening. Incomplete documents will not be considered for screening. Eligible applicants will be contacted by the office through call.
