BOHOL – Agricultural Training Institute-Central Visayas (ATI-CV) conducted its annual skills training on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM): Skills Training in Handling Hazards for ATI Employees at ATI 7 Training Complex, Cabawan District, Tagbilaran City, this province on November 06, 2023.
The center invited the city DRRM and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) team as resource speakers during the refresher and simulation course.
The one-day training aimed to refresh ATI personnel on standard first aid in a workplace, demonstrate how to perform basic bandaging, apply different carrying rescue techniques, demonstrate how to perform firefighting techniques, demonstrate how to use rope in rescuing, perform Earthquake Simulation, and perform Fire Drill Exercise.
Through this activity, ATI employees are more equipped with the necessary knowledge on how to react immediately and appropriately when an earthquake and fire strikes that could significantly reduce accidents and loss of lives.
A total of 35 ATI-CV employees participated in the activity with Mr. Jorge F. Trinidad as the Project Officer and Ms. Julie Ann Buhion as support staff.
