LUCENA CITY, Quezon – To hasten and improve the delivery of agricultural and fisheries extension services in nearby communities, the DA-Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON launched the Ouan’s Worth Farm and Family Resort Corporation in this city as Private Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Service Provider (PAF-ESP).
Prior to this, Ouan’s is certified as a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), showcasing a diversified farming system.
The farm is the second PAF-ESP in Quezon and fifth in the region, which now plays a significant role in capacitating AFE clientele and enhancing farm productivity through showcasing need-based and location-specific agricultural technologies, strategies, and enterprises.
The roster of other PAF-ESPs includes the Gourmet Farms (Silang, Cavite), Uma Verde Eco Nature Farm (Candelaria, Quezon), MoCa Family Farm RLeaning Center (Padre Garcia, Batangas), and Teofely Nature Farms (Silang, Cavite).
ATI CALABARZON Center Director Dr. Rolando V. Maningas led the unveiling of the billboard and presented the certificate to Ret. Gen. Recaredo A. Sarmiento II, owner of Ouan’s farm.
Meanwhile, media organizations based in Quezon witnessed the said milestone and gathered for the second media conference Kapihan and Huntahan with ATI CALABARZON, where they talked about the accreditation of Ouan’s as a new PAF-ESP, frontline services of the DA-ATI CALABARZON, and the Center’s measurable impact on the agri-fishery sector.
